Shed Types


Basically there are two types of shed that are categorized. Both are typically structured to come out as a single-story building. It is made of light and available materials that are pre cut so that assembling is easy, that even those without experience can understand its concept.

The two categorized types of shed are the small and the large domestic shed. It is upon your discretion to which one you will be building in your backyard. It all depends on the demands of your exterior tools and equipments.

Small domestic shed is a cost efficient structure and can be installed with even by people with less skill. Commonly, the materials for this is wood or plastic base. Inside this type of shed are tools that are of value and use with your exterior needs. Here you can also store the basic house needs that are dangerous to be kept inside the house such as a gasoline and insect repellant.

On the other hand, the large domestic shed is usually made of materials such as steel and is more complex. It has an additional feature such as a window, electrical outlet. Technically, this shed is like the house, but in this case it is still a storage room for small engine lawn mower or other large materials needed in your backyard.

Sheds come in many uses and form. These building are constructed for some specific purpose. The most common of course is the Garden shed where the purpose is keeping garden tools. On common shed found in school on is the bike shed. This is typically a large shed were in bikes of the students are parked in order to provide security and from rains.

There are also those used by facilities such as the dock and the train station. During the war, an auxiliary building was considered as gun shed. Over the years, sheds are developed to provide more function. There are new materials being developed today to improve the quality of this useful small edifice. For some, they include office furniture and the likes because they are converting shed as an outdoor office.
