The purpose of a shed is to store important things that are in the garden or anything outside your house. One example is your garden. Tools out there should be kept properly and secured. These are investment after all. With the designs available for a shed, there are different types of door that are appropriate for a certain design.
- Double Doors – used in shed where large equipment is kept. These compose a pair of swinging door that is made of materials the same as the entire shed. This is the most common door used in shed.
- Sliding Doors – is similar with the double door with its purpose. However, it has panel that meets in the center if it closes and slides to the side when it opens. It is made of vinyl or metal. Wood was used traditionally but is less popular because it age.
- Overhead Doors – this is another kind of door used when you store large objects in a shed. The function of the door is an overhead coiling that can be operate manual or electronically. This is normally made of steel or aluminum. This door is like a garage door.
- Personnel Doors – is the usual single swinging door where people have easy access coming in and out without operating a large sliding or swinging doors. This kind of door can be partnered with a sliding doors and overhead doors because this is an easy point access when a single person comes in and out of the shed.
